JDT BEAT SIME DARBY TO KEEP PRESSURE ON PAHANG

​LIGA SUPER: JDT 4 – SIME DARBY 0 Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) beat Sime Darby 4-0 in Larkin on Wednesday to keep the pressure on Malaysia Super League leader, Pahang . Sime Darby became the latest prey of the Southern Tigers in pursuit of Super League success. JDT took the lead after the half hour mark through Luciano Figueroa 's header from a corner kick. Asraruddin Putra doubled the lead in the 41st minute with another header which found the back of the net. The score remained until the break. ​The Southern Tigers were in full of confidence as they carry on to control the game in the second half. Just four minutes after the match resumed, Safiq Rahim launched a powerful shot to give JDT a comfortable three goals lead. It was not enough for the home side until Figueroa's spectacular Scissor-Kick went in for JDT's fourth goal of the night. SIME DARBY BEATEN BY PAHANG AFTER TAKING LEAD

​LIGA SUPER: SIME DARBY 2 - PAHANG 4 Pahang bounced back to beat bottom of the table club Sime Darby after an early scare in a match at Selayang Stadium . The Super League leaders were two goals down after 13 minutes but staged a fantastic comeback to record a 4-2 win away from home. ​Sime Darby stunned the Elephants through Serbian Marko Perovic 's brace in the 10th and 13th minutes. Pahang bounced back with a goal in the 30th minute by Damion Stewart who headed in Azamuddin Akil 's cross. Pahang kept the pressure on the home team after their opening goal, but the score stood until the break. However, Matias Conti grabbed the equaliser for Pahang after completing on Stewart's pass on in the 58th minute. JDT II MOVES UP AFTER WIN OVER T-TEAM

​LIGA PERDANA: JDT II 4 - T-TEAM 1 JDT II took full advantage of playing on their own ground to beat T-Team 4-1 at the Pasir Gudang Stadium . The win moved them up to 4th in the Premier League standings with 27 points from 16 matches. Mohd Shafiq Shaharuddin put JDT II ahead with the opening goal in the 14th minutes. T-Team's new signing, Tomislav Busic equalised for the visitors from the penalty spot seven minutes later. ​JDT II increased their game and took control of the match. Skipper Shahril Ishak regained the lead a minute before the break for JDT II. JDT II pressed the visitors harder in the second half. Just three minutes after the restart, Baihakki Khaizan gave his side their third goal of the night. ​T-Team could not find the right tempo to overcome the confident home side. KUALA LUMPUR SPOILS PENANG HOPE FOR SECOND SPOT

​LIGA PERDANA: KUALA LUMPUR 2 - PENANG 0 Kuala Lumpur dent Penang hopes in breaking for the top two spot of Malaysia Premier League table after the Hawks beat the Panthers 2-0 at Merdeka Stadium last Friday. Tied with 0-0 in the first half, Penang looked more fearful in second half with Hilton Moreira kept pumping up the pressure over Kuala Lumpur's defenders with a some dangerous attacks. KELANTAN BEAT PERAK IN KOTA BHARU

​MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: KELANTAN 1 - PERAK 0 Kelantan showed their true potential after collecting their third win in four games on Saturday. The Red Warriors beat high-flying Perak 1-0 in Kota Bharu with Wan Zack Haikal 's goal. ​The visitors were missing skipper Nasir Basharuddin in their starting line-up, and Kelantan kept pressing them to the limit. Erwin Carillo gave Perak an early scare as his strike hit the bar. Perak held on strongly until the break. Kelantan continued their mission in the second half. TERENGGANU HITS FIVE PAST GLADIATORS

​​MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: ATM 1 - TERENGGANU 5 Terengganu thrashed ATM 5-1 on their own ground in Saturday's Super League match in Seremban. Issey Nakajima-Farran 's second-half hattrick sent the Gladiators further into the relegation zone. ​​​Ismail Faruqi opened the scoring for Terengganu with a header in the 17th minute. Abdulafees Abdulsalam equalised for ATM six minutes later as his curling free kick beat the visitors' goalkeeper. ​The second half resumed and the Turtles shifted into top gear. Gustavo Lopez put Terengganu in-front again from a freekick five minutes after the restart. Substitute, Nakajima-Farran gave Terengganu their third of the night with a tap-in from Norshahrul Idlan Talaha 's cross. The Canadian striker completed his hattrick after scoring another two goals in the 73rd and 80th minute. The result sent Terengganu up to seventh place above PDRM. LIVERPOOL HELD BY MALAYSIA XI IN KUALA LUMPUR

​FRIENDLY MATCH: MALAYSIA XI 1 - LIVERPOOL 1 Liverpool ends the 2015 Asia tour with unexpected results after only draw against Malaysia selection 1-1. Malaysia gets their goal via Patrick Ronaldinho in 12th minute of match after manages to escape from the Liverpool defender, Dejan Lovren and calmly finished with a shot past the Reds' goalkeeper Adam Bogdan .  ​​The striker was the last player called by Malaysian coach, Dollah Salleh to check into Malaysian selection camp after two of the foreign players played in the local league have turned down the call-ups. ​Liverpool have won three opening games of the tour, however had struggled to find rhythm in the attacking against the Malaysian side. Liverpool had created a number of chances, particularly in the second half, but occasionally pricked with mistakes. LIVERPOOL GIVE FELDA GOOD LESSON IN TRAINING

​ ​Liverpool FC arrived at Bukit Jalil National Stadium last night for a training session before they were to meet Malaysian XI on Friday night, July 24, 2015 to end the 2015 Asia tours. The Reds played a 60-minutes game against the Malaysian Super League , Felda United during an open training in front of Malaysian fans. ​Liverpool team packed full of youth players who played along their regular players Andre Wisdom , Kolo Toure , Mamadou Sakho and Lazar Markovic had triumphed over the Malaysian club side 7-0, where Danny Ings , the newly signed striker scored a hat-trick during the game. ​The local side struggled to keep pace, with Liverpool's control on the ball and incisive attacking. DORTMUND BEAT JDT IN ASIAN TOUR FRIENDLY

​FRIENDLY: JOHOR DT 1 - BORRUSIA DORTMUND 6 Borussia Dortmund thrashed Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) in a friendly match at Larkin Stadium on Thursday. The German powerhouse had Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang , Mats Hummels , Ilkay Gundogan , and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in their starting line-up. Dortmund took the lead through a free kick taken by Gundogan in the 22nd minute which beat JDT goalkeeper Mohd Farizal Marlias . ​​The eight-time Bundesliga champions doubled their lead when Aubameyang tapped the ball home following a low cross by Marcel Schmelzer . JDT had a defensive mistake in the 32nd minute between Mohd Farizal and Asraruddin Putra Omar which allowed Kevin Kampl to slot in the third goal. PALESTINE HAMMERED MALAYSIA IN WORLD CUP QUALIFIER

​WORLD CUP QUALIFYING: MALAYSIA 0 - PALESTINE 6                                                Malaysia fell to a 6-0 defeat against Palestine in their 2018 World Cup Qualifier match at the Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur. Palestine almost found the net just two minutes after the kick-off but Tamer Seyam 's attempt flew over the bar. ​WORLD CUP QUALIFYING: MALAYSIA 1 - TIMOR LESTE 1 Malaysia almost grab a winning start in their 2018 World Cup qualifier Asian Zone second round Group A match, but Timor Leste late equalizer stunned the crowd at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil. ​​Joseph Kallang Tie , took a loose ball from a Timor Leste defensive mix-up inside the box. JDT CRUISED INTO AFC CUP QUARTERFINALS

​AFC CUP: Johor DT 5 – AYEYAWADY UNITED 0   Johor Darul Takzim confirmed their place in the AFC Cup 2015 quarter finals after successfully beat Myanmar favorite Ayeyawady United 5-0 at Larkin Stadium in Johor on Wednesday. The Southern Tigers took an early lead in the second minutes after Mohd Safiq Rahim brilliantly slot the ball into the net through a defender legs after receiving a split pass from Jorge Diaz . The home side pumped the pressure on Ayeyawady defense but failed to find the score. The first half ended with JDT lead the game 1-0. ​JDT started to generate the game positively and quickly doubled the lead through Luciano Figueroa shot in 47th minutes. ​AIA CUP FRIENDLY : MALAYSIA SELECTION 1 – TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS 2   Harry Kane struck twice to wrap up a 2-1 win for Tottenham Hotspurs against Malaysia Selection at Shah Alam Stadium, yesterday. About 28,000 crowd turned up to watch the match and Harry Kane & Co did well to entertain the crowd with his fantastic goals. Tottenham took the lead in the 19th minutes after a shot by Thomas Carrol was bounced back to Kane and the sensational striker took a cool step to boot in the ball into the net. ​Malaysia Selection hit back with an equalizer through Thiago Junior Aquino header in 32nd minutes after receiving Indra Putra Mahayuddin free kick. ​PIALA FA FINAL: KELANTAN 1 - LIONS XII 3 Lions XII beat Kelantan with 3-1 score to bag the FA Cup trophy at Bukit Jalil Stadium on Saturday. It was also a sweet revenge for Fandi Ahmad and his boys after having a loss against The Red Warrior in the Super League competition with 2-0 score at Kota Bharu last February. ​Fielding with local's talent, The Lions took an early lead through Mohd Faris Ramly goal in sixth minutes before Wan Zack Haikal hit with an equalizer for Kelantan in 63rd minutes. ​AFC CUP: JOHOR DT 3 - BALESTIER KHALSA 0 Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) progressed into the next stage of the AFC Cup competition as group winner after hammering Balestier Khalsa of Singapore 3-0 in Larkin Stadium, on Tuesday.
