FA CUP IS FOR FANDI AHMAD

​PIALA FA FINAL: KELANTAN 1 - LIONS XII 3

Lions XII beat Kelantan with 3-1 score to bag the FA Cup trophy at Bukit Jalil Stadium on Saturday. It was also a sweet revenge for Fandi Ahmad and his boys after having a loss against The Red Warrior in the Super League competition with 2-0 score at Kota Bharu last February.

​Fielding with local's talent, The Lions took an early lead through Mohd Faris Ramly goal in sixth minutes before Wan Zack Haikal hit with an equalizer for Kelantan in 63rd minutes.

Mohd Shail Suhaimi hit back with a fine finish in 80th minutes to put lions ahead and the substitute again hit the net through a penalty during injury time and seal the game completely.

​Lions coach Fandi Ahmad was full of praises with his players and hope that this glory will inspire them to perform better in SEA games as half of his squad will represent Singapore in the SEA games which schedule in June 2015..

Despite the win, The Lions XII also bags the best player award after their goal keeper Mohd Izwan Mahbud has been selected to win the award due to good performence show in the final match.

​ MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: PKNS 1 - PERAK 3 Perak recorded an important 3-1 win over PKNS in Shah Alam yesterday. Norhakim Isa opened the scoring for Perak in the 6 minutes after kick-off. His powerful shot beat Ramezy Che Ros . Perak was really in control. Ten minutes later, Hassan Daher increased the lead for Perak from a freekick. They were hunting for more goals after the break. In the 63rd minute, Ridzuan Azly Husain beat 3 PKNS players before sending a cross for Milan Purovic to tap in Perak's third goal. It was a valuable 3 points for Perak after an exciting away match. Perak could have scored more from many opportunities, but PKNS defended well towards the end. JDT WINS 2014 MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE

​ MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: SARAWAK 0 - JDT 1   Star-studded Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) clinched the coveted Super League title in style by beating Sarawak 1-0 at the State Stadium in Kuching. Matches played were the final fixtures in the 2014 Super League season which came to a close last night. JDT who finished with 44 points pocketed RM500,000 while second placed Selangor accumulated 41 points while Pahang with 37 points finished third.   Selangor finished as the runner-up after managing only a 2-2 draw against relegated PKNS FC at the Shah Alam Stadium. Argentina import Jorge Pereyra Diaz was the toast of JDT after squeezing in the winner in the 66th. Apart from winning the Super League title, JDT also earned a ticket to play in the Asian Football Confederation ( AFC Cup ) for the second time after 2009. MANCHESTER CITY WIN FIFTH PREMIER LEAGUE IN SIX SEASON

Manchester City bagged their third consecutive Premier League title after Nottingham Forest defeated Arsenal 1-0 on Saturday evening.  Under Pep Guardiola, City has won the title five times in the last six seasons. The Premier League is the first of a potential treble this season. They will play against Manchester United in the FA Cup final, and the Inter Milan in the Champions League final next month. Arsenal had an eight-point lead over City in January, but Guardiola’s side have overhauled them with three games to spare. Erling Haaland’s 36 goals in the league have been crucial to City’s success.
