SABAH RISE TO SINK JDTII IN PASIR GUDANG

Sabah stunned Johor DT II to claim three points from a MalaysiaPremier League match at MPPG Stadium on Friday. The homeside could not stop The Rhinos before going down 2-4.

JDTII took the lead from the spot by Nicolas Delmonte just seven minutes after kick-off. Shafiq Shahrudin doubled JDTII's lead in the 21st minute after intercepting a pass from skipper Shaharil Ishak.

Sabah finally found their touch in the 40th minute. Zulfadhli Muhamad failed to control El Hadji Diouf's attempt and Abdoulaye Diagne Faye took the opportunity to give the visitor a fighting chance. The Rhinos came on stronger in the second half searching for an equalizer.

​A series of attacks were launched towards the home defense. Sabah finally leveled the score in the 80th minute as Diouf header found the net. Joel Joseph Chianese silenced the home crowd with Sabah's third goal in the 89th minute and Eamon Zayed added the fourth in the injury time.

The goals really killed JDTII's chances for a home win. However credit to Sabah who played an extra-ordinary game to claim full points in Johor.
