MALAYSIA FA CUP: NS MATRIX 1 - PENANG 2
NS Matrix failed to take the advantage of playing on their home ground after losing to Penang 1-2 at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium on Tuesday. Despite taking an early lead, the home side could not deny the Panthers domination.
Just three minutes after kick-off, Shahrizal Mohd Saad put NS Matrix in front after a good one-two play with Francis Forkey Doe. The goal boosted the team's confidence, but Penang was also quick to react on the early setback. Alberto Goncalves Da Costa was brilliant to beat NS defenders and launched a powerful shot to beat goalkeeper Mohd Helmi Eliza in the 12th minute.
Both team fails to add more goals and the result remain 1-1 until end of the first half. While both team searching for more goals, Lee Gil-hoon put a cheer on The Panthers. The South-Korean effort in 80th minutes ensures Penang moved to quarter final with 2-1 win.
