MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: SELANGOR 1 - PERAK 0
Playing with ten men was not an excuse for the Selangor not to collect three valuable points against bottom place Perak. The Red Giants defeated Perak with 1-0 at Shah Alam Stadium. Paulo Rangel is the hero again as his goal scoring form continued. In the 8th minute Rangel did not waste the opportunity to struck his 10th goal for the Red Giants.
Selangor squandered a chance for a second goal after Thamil Arasu crossed the ball to Rangel but Syazwan Roslan saved it. Just a minute before halftime, Selangor new signing from Brazil, Evaldo Silva was given the marching order by the referee for elbowing Kyaw Zayar Win and Selangor were down to 10 men.
Twenty minutes after the break, Perak were down to 10 men after the referee showed another red card to Mohd Rafiq Nagoorkani after collecting his second yellow card for a hard tackle against Mohd Fitri Shazwan. The score stood until the final whistle, Selangor edge Perak for the second time in the Super League, after winning with same score in Ipoh last week.
