MATEO ROSKAM HATTRICK DESTROYS KELANTAN

MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: SIME DARBY 4 - KELANTAN 0

It was a superb performance by Sime Darby as they hammered the 2013 FA Cup Champion, Kelantan 4-0 at Selayang Stadium on Tuesday. The result marked as Steve Darby's final match in-charge of the Red Warriors. At the other end, Sime Darby celebrated their new signing, Mateo Roskam from Croatia who hit a hattrick for the home side.

Kelantan weak defense was clearly exposed by Sime Darby's forwards. The home side took just four minutes to open the scoring when Roskam headed in a fine cross from Azmirul Azmi.

Kelantan tried to find the right rhythm in the second half. However, Roskam was quick to kill the visitors' hopes with another goal in the 46th minute. Mahmoud punished Kelantan unsettled defenders again in the 65th minute from a mistake by Khairul Fahmi and Mohd. Farisham Ismail. And the visitors' nightmare turned worst when Roskam completed his hattrick arrived in the 70th minute.

It was a terrible night for Kelantan after losing the match. Team manager Steve Darby was released by the management due to their poor form this season.
