PAHANG FALLS TO KELANTAN BUT SURVIVES

MALAYSIA CUP:  KELANTAN 4 – PAHANG 0

Kelantan enters the Malaysia Cup quarter final in style by topping the group after an impressive 4-0 win over Pahang at Sultan Muhamad Stadium in Kota Bharu.

Pahang started the match very well, but Indra Putra was quick to spoil the visitors' enthusiasm with a brilliant technique to beat Khairul Azhan. The goal put the Red Warriors in the right position, and they held on with the one goal lead until the break.

Pahang came back in the second half looking for an equaliser.  But Bojan Hodak had prepared a special surprise for the visitors. Dickson Naekame was sent in to strengthen Kelantan's forwards. His presence brought an immediate impact to the Red Warriors with a goal in the 65th minute.

The Nigerian added another two goals to ensure his team is in the right form for the next stage. Despite losing the match, Pahang had also qualified to the quarter finals after Negeri Sembilan were held to a 2-2 draw with Terengganu in Paroi.
