MARTELOTTO FIRES ATM TO THE TOP

MALAYSIA CUP: ATM 4 - JOHOR 1

Both teams drew after their meeting in Johor just four days ago. But this time ATM put the pressure on Johor from kick-off with strings of attacks. B.Sathianathan tactics finally worked as Bruno Martelotto opened the scoring in the 41st minute. After the goal, Johor tried to respond but Shukor Adan was at his best to stop Johor attempts to find an equaliser. And the score remained until the break.

As the second half started, ATM entertained their home fans with good attacking plays. Their skipper Hairuddin Omar was superbly orchestrating the ATMs attacks. Marlon Alex James doubled their lead with a header in the 76th minute.

Johor did not give up cheaply. A minute later, Johor pull back with a goal by Mohd Rashid Aya in the 77th minute.

But ATM showed the visitors that Selayang is not a safe land for travelers. In the 82nd minute, Christie Jayaselan launced a shot to beat Johor's goalkeeper Mohd Fazli Paat. However the Gladiators didn't look satisfied with just 3 goals, Martelotto scored his second in the injury time to bury Johor at Selayang. The win sent ATM to the top of group A.
