UEFA SUPER CUP: BAYERN MUNICH 2(5) - CHELSEA 2(4)

Bayern Munich won the UEFA Super Cup with a 5-4 penalty shoot-out victory over Chelsea following a 2-2 draw at Stadion Eden, Prague.

It was a repeat of the 2012 UEFA Champions League final, and the match was almost similar to the original as Bayern had the most possession. However, this time it was the Blues who opened the scoring through Fernando Torres with a wonderful first-time strike from Andre Schurrle's cut-back following a swift counter-attack.

Bayern dominated after the goal, but they had to wait until the second period to level when UEFA Best Player in Europe Franck Ribery succeeded where he had narrowly failed in the first period. The Frenchman cut in from the left before scoring with a fierce right-foot shot.

Ramires' 85th-minute red card gave Bayern the numerical advantage for extra time, but after Eden Hazard restored Chelsea's lead it took a last-gasp Javi Martínez strike to take the encounter to penalties. There Manuel Neuer saved the decisive kick from Romelu Lukaku to ensure Josep Guardiola collected the trophy for a third time as coach.

ARGENTINA WIN RECORD 16TH COPA AMERICA

Argentina won a record 16th Copa America title by beating Colombia 1-0 thanks to an extra-time goal from Lautaro Martinez . Thomas Muller and Miroslav Klose were on target once more as Germany booked their World Cup semi-final place at the expense of Argentina. Muller netted the last two goals in the 4-1 win over England last time but was quicker off the mark in Cape Town, heading home in the third minute as Joachim Low's side made a blistering start. Klose, who had scored the opener against England, then tapped home a 67th minute second. Arne Friedrich netted a third seven minutes later and Klose scored his second with a minute to go to make sure of the success over Diego Maradona's men. ENGLAND IN EURO FINAL AFTER WIN OVER DENMARK

England reached their first major tournament final since 1966 after defeating Denmark 2-1 in Euro quarterfinals. Captain Harry Kane fired his side into European Championship final by tapping in the rebound to his saved penalty in extra-time. Despite being tired of traveling, Denmark showed a lot of determination from the kick-off. Mikkel Damsgaard ended England's run of clean sheets with a superb freekick to beat Jordan Pickford in the 30th minute. The Three Lions responded with increasing the pressure on Denmark.
