Fernando Torres is raring to go at the World Cup after scoring on his return from injury for Spain. The Liverpool striker missed the end of the league season after undergoing knee surgery and came off the bench against Poland to play his first game since 8th April.
The 26-year-old was delighted to be back in action after replacing David Villa in the 66th minute, scoring the fifth goal in a 6-0 friendly win in Murcia. The goal was Torres' 25th in 74 appearances for Spain, who are hoping to follow up their Euro 2008 success.
Victory over Poland in their final warm-up match means Spain head into the World Cup on the back of 12 straight wins. But Torres warned fans they have plenty of work to do in South Africa to be crowned world champions too.
