LIGA SUPER: SIME DARBY 1 - SELANGOR 3
Selangor finally picked their first win in four matches after defeating bottom club, Sime Darby on Saturday. The Red Giants gave no chance to the struggling home side before recording a 3-1 victory at the Selayang Stadium.
Selangor opened the scoring in the 18th minute when Rizal Fahmi Rosid headed in a free kick by Andik Vermansyah. Eight minutes later, Guilherme de Paula scored his first league goal after two months from the penalty spot.
Sime Darby fought back against the confident visitors. They reduced the deficit with Reinaldo Da Costa's header on the half-hour mark.
Selangor held on strongly in the second half and Sime Darby ran out of idea to find the equaliser. The Red Giants finished off Sime Darby's chance with a goal by Abdul Hadi Yahya ten minutes from time after receiving a pass from Guilherme.
