SYRIA BEAT MALAYSIA IN SHAH ALAM

INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY: MALAYSIA 0 - SYRIA 3

Malaysia suffered another blow in their AFF Suzuki Cup warm-up match at Shah Alam Stadium on Wednesday. Dollah Salleh's team were humiliated 3-0 in the friendly against Syria.

Malaysia started badly and conceded the opening goal just five minutes after kick-off. Nadim Sabag fired a loose ball through the napping defenders.

Malaysia tried to get back into the game with strikers Norshahrul Idlan Talaha and Mohd Amri Yahyah putting pressure on Syria. Syria doubled the lead after the break when skipper Sanharib Malki coverted an opportunity from a goalmouth melee.

The visitors found the net again the 65th minute as Omar Khrbin easily headed in for their third goal. Malaysia failed to take advantage on the wet home ground. Fadhli Shas was sent off for rough play in the 81st minute to add Malaysia's miserable night.

Spain are crowned Euro 2024 winners after a pulsating 2-1 victory over England at Olympiastadion in Berlin.
