Pahang confirmed a slot in the Malaysia Cup Final, after defeating Kedah 6-3 in the semi-final second leg match in Kuantan yesterday. The Tok Gajah squad were having a goal fest on their home ground after scoring five goals.

As expected, Pahang went all out from the kick-off finding the goals needed to overcome the 1-3 deficit from the first leg match in Alor Setar. Matias Ruben Conti turned on the fighting spirit for the home side when he headed in the opening goal in the 4th minute. Kedah tried to hang on, but Pahang doubled their lead when R. Gopinathan powerful shot beat Saiful Amar Sudar in the 25th minute. Just a minute before the half hour, Pahang was back in the Malaysia Cup again as Conti slotted in their third goal from Azidan's cross. Kedah struggled to hold on their fort anymore. Conti completed his hattrick in the 36th minute after receiving a nice pass from Dickson Nwakaeme.

Kedah returned for the second half more aggressive than ever. They launched some attacks into Pahang's area, but the defenders were rock solid. But then, Nwakaeme added Pahang's fifth of the night in the 73rd minute after a solo run from half way line. Pahang held on tightly and avoided making any mistakes. The match ended with Pahang win 5-0 over Kedah.
