JDT WINS OVER KELANTAN

MALAYSIA CUP: JDT 4 - KELANTAN 2 Johor Darul Takzim took the advantage in the first leg of the Malaysia Cup quarter final by winning 4-2 over Kelantan at Tan Sri Dato' Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium in Johor Bahru yesterday. The win is very important for the star studded JDT before they play their second leg in Kota Bharu next Saturday. Kelantan arrived in Johor Bahru fresh from their 4-0 win over Pahang last week. However, they failed to deliver the good performances as in their previous match Kota Bharu. JDT didn't take too long to open the scoring when Jazsarin Jamaluddin found the net just four minutes after the whistle. As Kelantan was trying to get their game tempo right, controversial striker Nor Shahrul Idlan Talaha added JDT's second of the night in the 20th minute. Indra Putra Mahayuddin pulled a goal back for the visitors in the 23rd minute. But his goal couldn't lift his team as JDT found the net again in the 38th minute through Safiq Rahim . JDT head

PAHANG FIGHTS BACK TO WIN OVER PKNS

MALAYSIA CUP: PAHANG 3 - PKNS 2 Pahang made a second half fight back to record a win over PKNS in the Malaysia Cup quarter final in Kuantan on Friday. The Dollah Salleh boys finally showed their true potential in this stage despite losing badly in Kota Bharu last week. However the win did not come easy for Pahang. After a stunning start with a goal from Matias Conti in the first minute, PKNS replied with 2 goals from Patrick Ronaldinho in the 36th minute, and Mohd Lot Abu Hasan in the 38th. The home side went into the break with a goal down. Pahang came back in the second half in great determinations. They finally got the equaliser 4 minutes after the restart from another goal from Conti. The home team increased their game and pushed further into PKNS area. Matias Conti proved that he is the best front man in Pahang when he completed his hattrick in the 58th minute. PKNS tried to respond from the goal, but Pahang's defence was back at their best to keep the score until

UNITED SHOWS LIVERPOOL THE EXIT

LEAGUE CUP: MAN UNITED 1 - LIVERPOOL 0 Javier Hernandez placed the stability back to Manchester United after a very difficult week by netting the winning goal in a Capital One Cup tie with Liverpool . Hernandez who escaped from Jose Enrique to score from a Wayne Rooney 's corner. It is the Mexican's first goal of the campaign came early in the second-half, United manager David Moyes had barely got beyond the penalty area in his walk to the home dug-out. It meant it was easy to spot the Scot's celebration, at a strike that should at least quell some of the angst that built up following that awful hammering at Manchester City four days ago. Shinji Kagawa and Nani were so alived, whilst stand-in captain Rooney buzzed around with menace. SIME DARBY HELD BY ATM

MALAYSIA CUP: SIME DARBY 1 – ATM 1   After having a draw with 1 – 1 score line against Selangor last Tuesday, ATM once again were held with a same result at the Selayang Stadium . This time, it was Sime Darby .   The Gladiators opened the scoring with a goal in the 3rd minute from a good finishing touch by centre back, Amirizwan Taj Tajuddin . However, Sime Darby managed to hold the winning desire of ATM by securing a valuable point, a goal from Asrol Ibrahim after 35 minutes.   When the second half started, both team slowed down the match tempo until the final whistle. PAHANG FALLS TO KELANTAN BUT SURVIVES

MALAYSIA CUP:  KELANTAN 4 – PAHANG 0   Kelantan enters the Malaysia Cup quarter final in style by topping the group after an impressive 4-0 win over Pahang at Sultan Muhamad Stadium in Kota Bharu.   Pahang started the match very well, but Indra Putra was quick to spoil the visitors' enthusiasm with a brilliant technique to beat Khairul Azhan . The goal put the Red Warriors in the right position, and they held on with the one goal lead until the break.     Pahang came back in the second half looking for an equaliser.  But Bojan Hodak had prepared a special surprise for the visitors. Dickson Naekame was sent in to strengthen Kelantan's forwards. His presence brought an immediate impact to the Red Warriors with a goal in the 65th minute.   The Nigerian added another two goals to ensure his team is in the right form for the next stage. Despite losing the match, Pahang had also qualified to the quarter finals after Negeri Sembilan were held to a 2-2 draw with

JDT IS BACK IN THE RACE FOR QUARTER FINALS

MALAYSIA CUP: FELDA UNITED 2 - JDT 5 Johor Darul Takzim stars showed their true qualities at Temerloh Stadium last night by collecting 3 important points from Felda United . The star studded squad displayed a very interesting performance to win 5-2 at the newly upgraded stadium. Norsharul Idlan Talahan opened the scoring for JDT before Nurul Azwan Roya , Safiq Rahim and Haidin completed the goal fest in Temerloh. PAHANG DEFEATED NEGERI SEMBILAN IN KUANTAN

MALAYSIA CUP: PAHANG 3 - NEGERI SEMBILAN 0 Pahang recorded a 3-0 win over Negeri Sembilan at Darul Makmur Stadium last night. The win gives them a new hope to secure a place in the last eight of the Malaysia Cup . Pahang did not have a good start in Kuantan. It was a pretty boring first half when both teams went into the changing room without any goal. However, the Elephants showed their real class right after the second half begins. Mathias Conti  opened the scoring in the 50th minute before R. Gopinathan added a second in the 70th minute.  Azidan Sarudin completed Negeri Sembilan miserable night with a free kick to ensure Pahang collected the important three points at their home ground.
