ARSENAL GUN DOWNED LIVERPOOL TO STAY AT THE TOP

PREMIER LEAGUE: ARSENAL 2 - LIVERPOOL 0

Arsenal have shown their hunger in claiming the Premiership title by gunning down Liverpool 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium in Saturday evening battle and now leading the league with five points clear at the top of the table.

Santi Cazorla gave the Gunners a 1-0 lead after 19 minutes of play with a great volley after his header were deflected by the goal post after receiving a cross from Bacara Sagna.

Aaron Ramsey makes it 2-0 in the 59th minute with a superb shot after receiving a pass from Ozil.

This win has given a morale boost for the Arsenal squad as they will travel to Signal Iduna Park for the Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund which is scheduled on 6th October and they will travel to Old Trafford on 10th November for the premier league match against Manchester United.

DUNGA SACKED!

Dunga has been axed as coach of Brazil after their defeat in the quarter-finals of the World Cup. Brazil were one of the tournament favourites, but they were knocked out by Holland earlier this week as they went down 2-1 to the Dutch. Now after Dunga and his staff arrived back in South America, he was relieved of his duties - although upon his arrival back in the country he insisted he was set for talks about his future. But the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) said that Dunga and his technical staff had been dismissed. A statement from the CBF, said: "Ending the cycle of work that began in August 2006, and ended with the elimination of Brazil from the World Cup in South Africa, the CBF announces that the technical committee of the national team has been released. Dunga had been in charge of his country since 2006, succeeding Carlos Alberto Parreira.
