SELANGOR WINS TO PUMP MORE PRESSURE ON TOP

MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: SARAWAK 0 - SELANGOR 2 After triumph over  Kelantan at Shah Alam last Saturday, Selangor put up a boost for Super League title challenge after getting three value points against Sarawak at State Stadium last night with 2-0 win. Indonesian star player, Andik Verman Shah put Selangor on the lead with his powerful shot in 24th minutes before A. Thamil Arasu seal the victory in 53rd minutes. With this win, Selangor are now in third with 16 points together with Pahang and Terengganu only differ by goal different. KELANTAN FALLS TO JOHOR DT AT HOME

MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: KELANTAN 1 - JOHOR DT 2 Kelantan were slump to 6th place in the Super League standings after being whip by Johor DT at Sultan Mohd IV Stadium, for the second defeat in the row yesterday. The Red Warriors open the score with a goal from Mohd Ghaddar in 18th minute. However, Mohd Amri Yahyah levels the score in 35th minutes to take the result 1-1 until end of first half. ALL STAR FOOTBALL SHOW IN KUALA LUMPUR

Football legends returned to the pitch for a star-studded charity football match in Malaysia, as part of the 2014 Laureus World Sports Awards . The Laureus All Stars Unity Cup was held at the Royal Selangor Club in Kuala Lumpur. Italian football manager Fabio Capello and retired Danish footballer Michael Laudrup fielded the two teams, featuring world-class footballers Ronald de Boer , Quinton Fortune , Paulo Ferreira , Gaizka Mendieta , Luis Milla and Michel Salgado , Hidetoshi Nakata and Jari Litmanen . Before kickoff, a moment of silence was observed for the families and loved ones of the victims the lost Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 . Playing together with local youth players, it was a close fight between the two teams, but in the end Team Laureus took home a 8-6 victory against Team YR1M . SELANGOR RETURNS TO SHAH ALAM WITH WIN

MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: SELANGOR 1 - KELANTAN 0 Selangor is back on winning form after edging Kelantan 1-0 at Shah Alam Stadium on Saturday night. It was a perfect starts on their return to the original home ground. The win sent Selangor to the top spot of Malaysia Super League with Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang , sharing the lead with 13 points each after yesterday's matches. Kelantan gave the home side an early scare by earning a penalty in the 20th minute. However, Forkey Doe had his penalty saved by Selangor goalkeeper Farizal Marlias . Just two minutes later, Selangor was awarded a penalty too. Paulo Rangel made no mistake from the spot to score his eighth league goal of the season. LEAGUE LEADER PDRM HELD BY FELDA

MALAYSIA PREMIER LEAGUE: FELDA UTD 3 - PDRM 3 Premier League leader, PDRM ended their perfect run with a 3-3 draw against Felda United at Selayang Stadium ofn Friday. It was a thrilling Premier League match where the Police needed a penalty to salvage a draw. PDRM looked like running away for an easy win over the homeside, taking 2-0 lead after 30 minutes as Felda struggled to cope with the Cops. Maldives international, Ashfaq Ali opened scoring with a clinical finish in the 11th minute after receiving a long ball from Rafael Souza. Chad Charles Souza doubled the lead in the 30th minute when he converted an opportunity after Felda's goalkeeper Farizal stopped Rafael’s header. Shahrulnizam Mustafa pulled Felda back into the game when he launched a powerful header past Police keeper Azizon Kadir from a Indra Putra's corner in first half injury time. PKNS SLAYS T-TEAM AT HOME

MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: PKNS FC 3 - T-TEAM 1 Azrai Khor believed that his T-Team players displayed a below par performance at Selayang Stadium which resulted in a defeat against PKNS FC in their latest Malaysia Super League (MSL) fixture. Despite coming into the game fresh off from a win in their previous match, T-Team failed find their rhythm and ended up losing 3-1 away from home. PKNS's three goals were scored by Shahrul Azhar and Helmi Remeli in the first half, while Khairul Azrin scored the third goal in the second half.  Titans got their consolation thru Marzuki Yusof 's goal. The defeat has put T-Team bottom of the table as they suffered their fourth defeat of the season, and also puts PKNS FC in the top four after collecting 11 points in seven games.  They now sit just two points behind league leaders Terengganu. SIME DARBY FALLS TO JDT IN SELAYANG

MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: SIME DARBY 0 - JOHOR DT 2 Two goals in the first half by the Argentine striker Luciano Figueroa (23rd) and Norshahrul Idlan Talaha (31st) at the Selayang Stadium last Saturday night, moves Johor DT into second spot in the Super League standings. The Southern Tigers dominated the the match from kick-off and put the pressure on the home team. Figueroa sent a beautiful free kick to give JDT the lead, before Norshahrul doubled the lead. As Sime Darby tried to recover from the bad start, the Giant Killer faced another blow in the second half, Dilshod Sharofetdinov was given his marching orders after receiving his second yellow card in the 62nd minute of the match. JDTII ESCAPES FROM SELAYANG WITH A DRAW

MALAYSIA PREMIER LEAGUE: FELDA UTD 2 - JOHOR DT II 2 Johor DT II had a great start when Braulio Rodriguez netted a penalty after See Kok Luen was brought down inside the penalty box at the 11th minutes. Both sides struggled to dominate the game but the home side proved better.   Felda United had a good chance to equalize during the 29th minutes when Felda’s forward, Zah Krangar shot was swerved wide across Sasi Kumar ’s post. Then, during the 35th minutes, Johor DTII was alarmed as Edward Wilson of Felda United almost headed the ball in. However, the Southern Tigers managed to stave the relentless attacks until the end of the first half. The second half had followed a frustratingly familiar course with Johor DTII was unable to helm the match. Tiger’s smattering counter attacks were wasted and Felda United did not take long to equalize when Felda’s Edward Wilson stroke the ball pass Sasi Kumar due to the poor marking by the Johor DTII’s back four. MALAYSIA SHOCKED YEMEN IN DUBAI

ASIAN CUP QUALIFYING: YEMEN 1 - MALAYSIA 2 Playing with 10-man for almost the entire match, Malaysia pulled off an amazing result by beating Yemen 2-1 in a Group D 2015 Asian Cup Qualifying match at the Tahnon Bin Mohamed Stadium in Al Ain City, Dubai yesterday. Amirizwan Taj Tajudin was shown a straight red for what looked like nothing more than a mild tangle with a Yemen striker Sadam Hussein and Yemen were also awarded a dubious penalty by the referee. Though, Wahid Mohammed Al-khyat 's tame spot kick was saved by Khairul Fahmi Che Mat . The Harimau Malaya who were reduced to 10-man before the 10th minute played like real tigers to shock the Yemen side with Amri Yahya put Malaysia infront in the 16th minute. While Yemen lamented their missed chances, Amri shocked the home fans by giving Malaysia the lead. MALAYSIA-PHILIPPINES MATCH DISRUPTED BY FANS

FRIENDLY MATCH: MALAYSIA 0 - PHILIPPINES 0 Flares, smoke bombs disrupted of Malaysia - Philippines friendly. The match was stopped for eight minutes by Referee Mohd Amirul Izwan Yaacob after flares and smoke bombs were thrown onto the track on Saturday night. The match ended in a goalless draw. Malaysia was very unfortunate in the “A” international friendly which saw a valid goal from Amiridzwan Taj 's header in the 14th minute disallowed for handball, while attempts by Aidil Zafuan (15th), Safiq Rahim (16th) and Amri Yahyah (18th) were all denied by the woodwork. Before the eight-minute interruption, Malaysia were dominating the game and looked much more dangerous with winger Amri combining well with strikers Safee Sali and Bobby Gonzales to press the Philippines' backline.
