JDT THRASHED PENANG IN JOHOR

​ MALAYSIA CUP: JDT 5 - PENANG 0 Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) took another big step towards qualifying the quarter-finals of the Malaysia Cup after an impressive 5-0 win over Penang yesterday. Jorge Pereyra Diaz netted JDT's opening goal in the third minute in his first start for his club since returning from Argentina before Luciano Figueroa converted from the penalty spot in the 29th minute followed by Amri Yahyah 's strike nine minutes later. After the break, Figueroa netted his second in the 54th minute to give the Southern Tigers a 4-0 lead before Harris Harun added a fifth seven minutes from time. JDT lead the group with 10 points, four ahead of second-placed Kelantan with two rounds left followed by ATM (5) and Penang (1). SOUTHERN TIGERS ROAR IN PENANG

​ MALAYSIA CUP: PENANG 1 - JDT 3 JDT took full control of the match at the Bandaraya Stadium yesterday and win 3-1 over Penang. Penang looked nervous from the start allowing the visitors to demonstrate a good performance. National striker Amri Yahyah found the net in the 13th minute to give JDT the lead. His back header from Safiq Rahim's corner beat G. Jeevananthan . Penang did not have the chance to recover as the Southern Tigers got another goal a minute later through Safiq Rahim . Two goals advantage was good enough for JDT to head for the break. ​ Penang was a little improved in the second half. They are more organized and launching a number of attacks. South Korean Lee Gil Hoon showed an outstanding performance with a number of dangerous attempts. SELANGOR BOUNCED BACK WITH WIN OVER SIME DARBY

​ MALAYSIA CUP : SIME DARBY 0 - SELANGOR 2 Selangor move up to second place of group D table after grabbing a victory against Sime Darby FC at Selayang Stadium last Saturday.  Paulo Rangel break the deadlock in 17th minutes with his fine shot from a free kick. The Brazilian talisman once again had a chances to extend the lead in 27th minutes but his effort were denied by Sime Darby FC goalkeeper Sufian Abdul Rahman . ​ Mehmet Durokovic were forced to replace Abdul Hadi Yahya with Ahmad Hazwan in 32nd minutes and The ex Harimau Muda A player prove his worth by netting the second goal 2 minutes later. FELDA UNITED MOVES TO THE TOP OF THE GROUP

​ MALAYSIA CUP: PAHANG 2 - FELDA UNITED 3 Felda United stunned FA Cup Champions Pahang 3-2 in Kuantan yesterday. The high flying elephants were having a good run by winning two earlier matches but could not stop Felda United's determinations. The home side broke the dead lock in the 17th minute from Gopi . But Felda United were quick to respond with the equalizer 7 minutes later through their most valuable striker, Edward Jr Wilson . Pahang were rewarded a penalty just four minutes after the restart.  Mathias Conti did not make any mistake from the spot to put the Elephants in front again. Felda doubled their efforts and charged further into Pahang's area. Edward Jr Wilson found the net again in the 64th minute to make it 2-2. The Fighters did not go to Kuantan looking for a draw. Shukor Adan turned into captain marvel when he scored the winning goal in the 77th minute. Felda United held tight to secure full points from the match. T

POLICE BEAT SELANGOR TO LEAD THE TITLE RACE

​ MALAYSIA CUP: SELANGOR 0 – PDRM 2 PDRM have taken a driving seat in group D after grabbing another three full points at Shah Alam Stadium yesterday with a 2-0 win.  It was so grateful for The Cops after Selangor were down to 10 men as early in 12 th minutes . ​ T he Red Giants skipper Bunyamin Umar was given a marching orders after making a hard tackle against Ali Ashfaq inside the penalty area.  The Maldivian ace did well to convert the penalty which give The Cops an early lead. ​ The Red Giants fought back with a strike from Andik Vermansyah and Paulo Rangel but The Cops defended wel l to block the attempt .  Azman Adnan introduced Charles Souza Chad after the break and the Brazilian put Selangor down to earth with his superb shot in 68 th minutes. Selangor  dropped to third place below T-Team after The Titans has overtaking them with a goal different margin after gaining a victory against Sime Darby with 2-1 score at Kuala Terengganu. KEDAH FALLS AT HOME TO TERENGGANU

​ MALAYSIA CUP: KEDAH 2 - TERENGGANU 3 Kedah failed to capitalized the advantage of playing on their home pitch as they loss 2-3 to Terengganu. The visitors were more organized at the Darul Aman Stadium got the opening goal through Ashaari Samsuddin just eight minute after the kick-off.  ​ Kedah tried to fight back with some good goal attempts but the finishing was not there. Ashaari doubled  Terengganu 's advantage in the 45th minute. However, Kedah did not give up and pulled back with a goal from Billy Mehmet a minute later. The home side resumed the second half with stronger determination. ​ After pushing hard with continuous attacks, they finally got an equalizer by skipper Baddrol Bakhtiar . Terengganu awakened by that goal. The Turtle showed their true class and got the winner in the 74th minute through Mario Karlovic . CONFIDENT PAHANG GRABS SECOND WIN FROM LIONS

​ MALAYSIA CUP: LIONS XII 1 – PAHANG 2 Pahang took another step nearer to the quarter-finals after a convincing 2-1 win over Lions XII in Singapore . It was Pahang's second consecutive win in Group A.  Dickson Nwakaeme opened account for the Elephants in the 13th minute. The Nigerian capitalised on Lions XII's defensive error to score past goalkeeper Izwan Mahbud from close range. The visitor gained more confident from the opening goal and dominated the match at Jalan Besar Stadium. Substitute Fauzi Roslan increased the lead with a long-range strike two minutes from time.
