JDT WINS 2014 MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE

​ MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: SARAWAK 0 - JDT 1   Star-studded Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) clinched the coveted Super League title in style by beating Sarawak 1-0 at the State Stadium in Kuching. Matches played were the final fixtures in the 2014 Super League season which came to a close last night. JDT who finished with 44 points pocketed RM500,000 while second placed Selangor accumulated 41 points while Pahang with 37 points finished third.   Selangor finished as the runner-up after managing only a 2-2 draw against relegated PKNS FC at the Shah Alam Stadium. Argentina import Jorge Pereyra Diaz was the toast of JDT after squeezing in the winner in the 66th. Apart from winning the Super League title, JDT also earned a ticket to play in the Asian Football Confederation ( AFC Cup ) for the second time after 2009. SELANGOR HELD, MISSED SUPER LEAGUE TITLE

​ MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: PKNS 2 - SELANGOR 2 Selangor failed to win the Malaysia Super League title after they only managed to draw against PKNS FC . The result gave  Johor Darul Takzim  (JDT) their first ever Super League win. The Red Giants came to the stadium with high hopes as they were confident in defeating the home side.  ​ It was a great start for the visitors as their top scorer, Paulo Rangel scored the first goal on the 22nd minute to put them up by 1-0. But The Red Ants did not give up and Patrick Ronaldinho scored the equalizer for them after he managed to beat the offside trap. The Red Giants did not wait too long to score back as Rangel scored from the corner to put his goal tally to 16 goals in the MSL.  ​ Selangor looked certain to win this match with better ball possession until The Fire Ants were given a penalty which was converted by the South Korean, Kim Dong Chen to put the scoreline 2-2 until the end. SIME DARBY HOLDS GLADIATORS IN LAST MATCH

​ MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: ATM 1 - SIME DARBY 1   ATM and Sime Darby completed their final league match with a draw at the Selayang Stadium yesterday.   Sime Darby were without their super striker Mateo Roskam in the starting line-up found it hard to break ATM backline anchored by captain Hairuddin Omar . The Gladiators took the advantage in the first half when Bruno Martelotto scores from the penalty spot. The goal gave ATM a one goal lead until the end of first 45 minutes. ​  Sime Darby return after the break trailing with a goal down. They looked more organized. Within three minutes after the restart, Mahmoud Al Amna grabs the equalizer from a good finishing. ​  ATM pushed further and started to control the game. Sime Darby held tight to deny ATM's continuous pressures. The match ended with a 1-1 draw. Sime Darby took 5th place the Super League, while ATM escaped relegation by finishing at 10th position. PDRM CROWNED MALAYSIA PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS

​ MALAYSIA PREMIER LEAGUE: PDRM 2 - KEDAH 3   As expected, PDRM were finally crowned the 2014 Malaysia Premier League Champions. The cops finished top of the 12-team standings with 52 points despite going down to the Canaries. They finished ahead of second-placed Felda United by two points. Felda in their last game defeated Perlis 3-2 in Kangar. ​  At the Selayang Stadium, the visitors raced to a comfortable 3-0 lead with goals from Syazwan Zainon (44th), South Korean winger Namkung Woong (56th) and Billy Mehmet (58th) before Police staged a late fightback and bounced back with goals from Ali Ashfaq (60th) and Fauzi Majid (78th). ​  PDRM and Felda United secured promotion to the Super League next season. Penang and Kedah finished in third and fourth spot with 44 and 38 points respectively. The top four also automatically qualified for the 16-team Malaysia Cup competition, which kicks off in August. FADZLI SHAARI GOAL SAVES SIME DARBY

​ MALAYSIA PREMIER LEAGUE: SIME DARBY 1 - T-TEAM 1   Sime Darby could not take the advantage of playing at home as they were held to a draw 1-1 with T-Team in a Premier League match in Selayang on Saturday. The homeside had their best eleven in the staring line-up, but T-Team was not an easy meal for Saturday's dinner. ​  While building their confidence, Sime Darby was stunned by Patrich Wanggai 's opener in the 7th minute. Goal keeper Kamarul Effandi was beaten by the Wanggai lightning strike.   ​ The homeside reorganized their tactical and start to hunt for an equaliser. And it did not take long, Fadzli Shaari finally found the net in the 21st minute. The match carried on with series of attacks from both sides. However all attempts were saved by the goal keepers. SELANGOR DRAGS TITLE RACE DOWN TO THE WIRE

​ MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: SELANGOR 3 - SARAWAK 0   The Malaysia Super League Champions will be decided after the last match of the top two teams.  At Shah Alam Stadium, Selangor kept their title chase alive after earning a crucial win over Sarawak with 3-0 score. JDT had beaten Kelantan earlier in a match at Larkin Stadium. Paulo Rangel , who had just returned from a two match suspension proved that he is the best striker in the league. The Brazilian opened the scoring in the 42nd minutes to give the Red Giants the lead. ​ As the match resumed for the second half, Rangel found the net again after receiving a fine cross from Andik Vermansyah . Selangor were in complete control after that goal. PERAK BEAT DEFENDING CHAMPIONS TO STAY ALIVE

​ MALAYSIA SUPER LEAGUE: LIONS XII 0 - PERAK 2 At Jalan Besar Stadium, Singapore, Perak grabs three vital points to ensure a chance in avoiding into relegation after sealing a victory with a 2-0 win against Lions XII yesterday. Abdulafees Abdul Salam put Perak infront in 16th minutes with a great freekick 6 yard from the goal post and Milan Purovic sealed the victory for the Bos Ghaurus in 12th minutes after the breaks from a close range. Lions XII put up a fight and had a few good chances but never able to find the net. Safuwan Baharudin header were well saved by Perak goalkeeper, Razi Effendi and 2 minutes later, A lob from Khairul Amri just flew over the crossbar.
