FA CUP IS FOR FANDI AHMAD

​PIALA FA FINAL: KELANTAN 1 - LIONS XII 3 Lions XII beat Kelantan with 3-1 score to bag the FA Cup trophy at Bukit Jalil Stadium on Saturday. It was also a sweet revenge for Fandi Ahmad and his boys after having a loss against The Red Warrior in the Super League competition with 2-0 score at Kota Bharu last February. ​Fielding with local's talent, The Lions took an early lead through Mohd Faris Ramly goal in sixth minutes before Wan Zack Haikal hit with an equalizer for Kelantan in 63rd minutes. Mohd Shail Suhaimi hit back with a fine finish in 80th minutes to put lions ahead and the substitute again hit the net through a penalty during injury time and seal the game completely. ​Lions coach Fandi Ahmad was full of praises with his players and hope that this glory will inspire them to perform better in SEA games as half of his squad will represent Singapore in the SEA games which schedule in June 2015.. JDT MARCH INTO AFC CUP KNOCK OUT STAGE AS GROUP WINNER

​AFC CUP: JOHOR DT 3 - BALESTIER KHALSA 0 Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) progressed into the next stage of the AFC Cup competition as group winner after hammering Balestier Khalsa of Singapore 3-0 in Larkin Stadium, on Tuesday. The win put JDT at the top of group F with 15 points from 6 games as their second place, Kitchee of Hong Kong was held in a 2-2 draw against East Bengal at Mongkok Stadium on the same day. In the first half, both team failed to find the net as Balestier defended well to stop JDT attempts. Second half resumed with JDT bringing in Safee Sali to strengthen their strike force. ​The result was handsomely paid off after the former national striker break the deadlock in 76th minutes with an acrobatic volley. Safiq Rahim put JDT in complete command with his superb finishing after receiving a pass Mahali Jasuli in the 86th minute. PAHANG TAKE SLIM LEAD OVER KELANTAN IN FA CUP TIE

​PIALA FA: PAHANG 1 - KELANTAN 0 FA Cup defending champions Pahang took a slim lead from the first leg semi-final match against Kelantan . The Elephants could only record a 1-0 win in the first 90 minutes at Darulmakmur Stadium on Saturday. Pahang had the better share of possession, but wasted too many chances. ​Argentine striker Matias Conti gave the home side an early lead after receiving a nicely set-up pass from Dickson Nwakaeme . The goal should have been the first of many goals for Pahang, but Kelantan's Khairul Fahmi Che Mat was at his best. Pahang, who have only lost once in 12 matches in all competitions this season, will travel to the Sultan Mohd IV Stadium in Kota Baru for the return leg next Saturday. ​ Follow CSN for more Sports news!

CONTI SCORES AGAINST PERAK TO TAKE PAHANG TO THE TOP

​LIGA SUPER: PAHANG 1 - PERAK 0   Pahang moved to the top of Malaysia Super League after defeating Perak with 1-0 at Darulmakmur Stadium. Mathias Conti sealed the victory for the Tok Gajah in 70th minutes through penalty after a Perak player handled the ball inside the box, forcing the referee to point to the spot. Perak responded by pushing forward in the last twenty minutes hunting for an equalizer. But Pahang held on to protect their lead and ultimately clinch the win. With six wins and two draws from ten matches played, Pahang are now leading the way with 20 points two points ahead of second and third placed PDRM and JDT. Pahang coach, Zainal Abidin Hasan was full of praises for his team as this win will be a perfect tonic for the Tok Gajah for their upcoming match. JOHOR DT BEAT FELDA UNITED TO MOVE SECOND IN SUPER LEAGUE

​LIGA SUPER: JOHOR DT 1 - FELDA UNITED 0 Johor Darul Takzim  (JDT) climbed four spots to occupy the second place in Malaysia Super League after beating Felda United 1-0. The result at the Tan Sri Hassan Yunos Stadium in Larkin saw JDT share same points (18) with the PDRM , but separated by goal difference. About 25,000 supporters turned up for the home game to see match. JDT were on attacking strategy from the kick-off. Safiq Rahim almost found the net in the 16th minute, but Mohd Farizal Harun was quick to stop him. ​Felda United held on brilliantly against the approaching Southern Tigers . However, Patricio Julian Rodriguez gave JDT the lead in the 45th minute from the penalty spot. The Argentine was fouled by Shahrul Mohd Saad . Felda tried to find an equalizer in the second half, but JDT's defence was rock solid. The home side kept the clean sheet until the final whistle. SABAH RISE TO SINK JDTII IN PASIR GUDANG

​LIGA PERDANA: JDTII 2 - SABAH 4 Sabah stunned Johor DT II to claim three points from a MalaysiaPremier League match at MPPG Stadium on Friday. The homeside could not stop The Rhinos before going down 2-4. JDTII took the lead from the spot by Nicolas Delmonte just seven minutes after kick-off. Shafiq Shahrudin doubled JDTII's lead in the 21st minute after intercepting a pass from skipper Shaharil Ishak . Sabah finally found their touch in the 40th minute. Zulfadhli Muhamad failed to control El Hadji Diouf 's attempt and Abdoulaye Diagne Faye took the opportunity to give the visitor a fighting chance. The Rhinos came on stronger in the second half searching for an equalizer. ​A series of attacks were launched towards the home defense. Sabah finally leveled the score in the 80th minute as Diouf header found the net. PAHANG MOVES A STEP CLOSER TO AFC CUP LAST 16

​AFC CUP: PAHANG 7 - YADANARBON FC 4 Pahang moved closer to the knockout stage of the AFC Cup competition after a convincing 7-4 win over Myanmar's Yadanarbon FC . Dickson Nwakaeme was start of the night with his hattrick which helped The Elephants to tame the never-say-die opponent at Darul Makmur Stadium. ​Nwakaeme did not wait long to open flood gate as he found the net seven minutes after the kick-off. The Nigerian striker scored another two goals in the 32nd and 59th minutes. D. Saarvindran scored a double, while Matias Conti and Mohd Hafiz Kamal got one each. Yadanarbon FC did not give up and bounced back with a brace from Hlaing Bo Bo  while Ivory Coast striker Djedje Djawa  and Win Naing Soe  added one each. ​Pahang's victory sealed a berth in the the last-16 of the competition.
