JDT WINS, ATM DOWN AND OUT

​​ MALAYSIA CUP: ATM 0 - JDT 1 ATM's 2014 Malaysia Cup season is finally over, in the hands of JDT. The star studded JDT defeated the Gladiators on their home ground, the Selayang Stadium. ATM started well, but JDT was a class above. The Southern Tigers showed a lot of flair. ​ Amri Yahyah almost put the visitors infront in the 6th minute, but his attempt was blocked by ATM's goalkeeper Syed Adney . Five minutes later, the former Selangor star set-up a good chance for Luciano Figueroa . However his shot was cleared by an ATM's defender. ​ In the 19th minute, Nazrin Nawi sent a perfect through pass for Figueroa to beat Syed Adney. The Gladiators tried to fight back, but visitors are having their best form of the season. The score remained until the final whistle. FELDA DEFEATED JDTII FOR LAST 16

​ MALAYSIA CUP: JDTII 1 - FELDA UNITED 3 Felda United showed that they have everything they need when playing away from home by defeating JDTII 3-1 yesterday. The home side failed to utilize their home ground advantage in a match which send Felda to the next stage. Zah Rahan Krangar opened the scoring for Felda United in the 6th minute. Unable to recover from that early goal, JDTII were punished again with a second goal by Ahmad Syamin Yahya . The Fighters played brilliantly and Mohd Raimi Md Noor pulled Felda United further with the third five minutes after the break. KELANTAN TAKES DOWN PENANG FOR QUARTER FINALS

​ MALAYSIA CUP: PULAU PINANG 1 - KELANTAN 3 Kelantan squeezed into quarterfinal after a 3-1 win over Pulau Pinang at Bandaraya Stadium last night. The Red Warriors broke the deadlock in the 34th minute after Wan Zaharulnizam attempt found the net. Penang tried to bounce back, but Kelantan held on until the break. Luiz Ricardo Dos Santos gave the home fans something to cheer with an equalizer three minutes after the restart. The Red Warrior started to show their true determination. Khairul  Izuan Rosli over head kick beat Khairul Amri in the 69th minute, before Forkey Doe added another goal for the visitors in the 82nd minute. FELDA UNITED FELL TO PAHANG

​ MALAYSIA CUP: FELDA UNITED 0 - PAHANG 2 Pahang got a sweet revenge after last weekend's Malaysia Cup defeat to Felda United in Kuantan with a 2-0 win in a Group A match at Selayang Stadium. The Elephants were without injured first choice goalkeeper Khairul Azhan Khalid . But the replacement, Mohd Nasril Nourdin pulled several top class saves to deny Felda's Premier League Golden Boot winner Edward Wilson Junior . P. Gopinathan broke the deadlock in the 66th minute after completing a pass from Hafiz Kamal pass inside the penalty box. Nigerian striker Dickson Nwakaeme penalty kick two minutes into stoppage time handed Pahang all three points. Group A is still wide open. Pahang, now lead with nine points, They just need only one point from their next two matches to qualify for the last eight. Felda are second with seven followed by JDTII (4) and Lions (2). SIME DARBY STUNNED SELANGOR IN SHAH ALAM

​ MALAYSIA CUP: SELANGOR 1 - SIME DARBY 2 Selangor failed to utilised their home advantage against Sime Darby in another Malaysia Cup match. The Red Giants were beaten 1-2 by Sime Darby. The home side did not show enough determination, while Sime Darby displayed a brilliant performance and threaten Selangor's quarter final chance. The first half ended with goalless.  ​ Ahmad Hazwan Bakri put Selangor ahead after receiving a pass from Paulo Rangel in the 63rd minute. But Sime Darby did not sit back after the goal. The Giant Killers increased their efforts and earned the equalizer through Fahrul Razi Kamaruddin in the 75th minute. ​ Just eight minute later, Mateo Roskam scored the winner and stunned the fans at the Shah Alam Stadium. It is a sweet victory for the visitors after losing 2-0 in Selayang last Saturday. Selangor stay second with six points while T-Team and Sime Darby FC are tied with three points each. PDRM ENTER QUARTER FINAL WITH 100 PERCENT RECORD

​ MALAYSIA CUP: T-TEAM 1 - PDRM 2 Premier League champions PDRM are the first team to have qualified for the Malaysia Cup quarter-finals after defeating T-Team 2-1 in a Group D match at the Sultan Ismail Stadium in Kuala Terengganu. Thanks to an Ali Ashfaq double.   Ashfaq scored the winner four minutes from time with his tournament leading sixth goal to preserve The Cops 100 per cent record having given his side the lead with a 21st-minute penalty.   Jimmy Mulisa headed the home side level in the 51st minute but T-Team, who finished with 10 men following Faizal Muhammad 's late sending off, retain a slim chance of qualifying. JDT THRASHED PENANG IN JOHOR

​ MALAYSIA CUP: JDT 5 - PENANG 0 Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) took another big step towards qualifying the quarter-finals of the Malaysia Cup after an impressive 5-0 win over Penang yesterday. Jorge Pereyra Diaz netted JDT's opening goal in the third minute in his first start for his club since returning from Argentina before Luciano Figueroa converted from the penalty spot in the 29th minute followed by Amri Yahyah 's strike nine minutes later. After the break, Figueroa netted his second in the 54th minute to give the Southern Tigers a 4-0 lead before Harris Harun added a fifth seven minutes from time. JDT lead the group with 10 points, four ahead of second-placed Kelantan with two rounds left followed by ATM (5) and Penang (1). SOUTHERN TIGERS ROAR IN PENANG

​ MALAYSIA CUP: PENANG 1 - JDT 3 JDT took full control of the match at the Bandaraya Stadium yesterday and win 3-1 over Penang. Penang looked nervous from the start allowing the visitors to demonstrate a good performance. National striker Amri Yahyah found the net in the 13th minute to give JDT the lead. His back header from Safiq Rahim's corner beat G. Jeevananthan . Penang did not have the chance to recover as the Southern Tigers got another goal a minute later through Safiq Rahim . Two goals advantage was good enough for JDT to head for the break. ​ Penang was a little improved in the second half. They are more organized and launching a number of attacks. South Korean Lee Gil Hoon showed an outstanding performance with a number of dangerous attempts. SELANGOR BOUNCED BACK WITH WIN OVER SIME DARBY

​ MALAYSIA CUP : SIME DARBY 0 - SELANGOR 2 Selangor move up to second place of group D table after grabbing a victory against Sime Darby FC at Selayang Stadium last Saturday.  Paulo Rangel break the deadlock in 17th minutes with his fine shot from a free kick. The Brazilian talisman once again had a chances to extend the lead in 27th minutes but his effort were denied by Sime Darby FC goalkeeper Sufian Abdul Rahman . ​ Mehmet Durokovic were forced to replace Abdul Hadi Yahya with Ahmad Hazwan in 32nd minutes and The ex Harimau Muda A player prove his worth by netting the second goal 2 minutes later. FELDA UNITED MOVES TO THE TOP OF THE GROUP

​ MALAYSIA CUP: PAHANG 2 - FELDA UNITED 3 Felda United stunned FA Cup Champions Pahang 3-2 in Kuantan yesterday. The high flying elephants were having a good run by winning two earlier matches but could not stop Felda United's determinations. The home side broke the dead lock in the 17th minute from Gopi . But Felda United were quick to respond with the equalizer 7 minutes later through their most valuable striker, Edward Jr Wilson . Pahang were rewarded a penalty just four minutes after the restart.  Mathias Conti did not make any mistake from the spot to put the Elephants in front again. Felda doubled their efforts and charged further into Pahang's area. Edward Jr Wilson found the net again in the 64th minute to make it 2-2. The Fighters did not go to Kuantan looking for a draw. POLICE BEAT SELANGOR TO LEAD THE TITLE RACE

​ MALAYSIA CUP: SELANGOR 0 – PDRM 2 PDRM have taken a driving seat in group D after grabbing another three full points at Shah Alam Stadium yesterday with a 2-0 win.  It was so grateful for The Cops after Selangor were down to 10 men as early in 12 th minutes . ​ T he Red Giants skipper Bunyamin Umar was given a marching orders after making a hard tackle against Ali Ashfaq inside the penalty area.  The Maldivian ace did well to convert the penalty which give The Cops an early lead. ​ The Red Giants fought back with a strike from Andik Vermansyah and Paulo Rangel but The Cops defended wel l to block the attempt .  Azman Adnan introduced Charles Souza Chad after the break and the Brazilian put Selangor down to earth with his superb shot in 68 th minutes. KEDAH FALLS AT HOME TO TERENGGANU

​ MALAYSIA CUP: KEDAH 2 - TERENGGANU 3 Kedah failed to capitalized the advantage of playing on their home pitch as they loss 2-3 to Terengganu. The visitors were more organized at the Darul Aman Stadium got the opening goal through Ashaari Samsuddin just eight minute after the kick-off.  ​ Kedah tried to fight back with some good goal attempts but the finishing was not there. Ashaari doubled  Terengganu 's advantage in the 45th minute. However, Kedah did not give up and pulled back with a goal from Billy Mehmet a minute later. The home side resumed the second half with stronger determination. ​ After pushing hard with continuous attacks, they finally got an equalizer by skipper Baddrol Bakhtiar . CONFIDENT PAHANG GRABS SECOND WIN FROM LIONS

​ MALAYSIA CUP: LIONS XII 1 – PAHANG 2 Pahang took another step nearer to the quarter-finals after a convincing 2-1 win over Lions XII in Singapore . It was Pahang's second consecutive win in Group A.  Dickson Nwakaeme opened account for the Elephants in the 13th minute. The Nigerian capitalised on Lions XII's defensive error to score past goalkeeper Izwan Mahbud from close range. The visitor gained more confident from the opening goal and dominated the match at Jalan Besar Stadium. Substitute Fauzi Roslan increased the lead with a long-range strike two minutes from time. FELDA SENDS JDTII INTO MISERY

​ MALAYSIA CUP: FELDA UNITED 3 - JDTII 2 After a goalless against Lions in Singapore last week, Felda United returned to their home ground to entertain JDTII. Felda started the match comfortably while JDTII struggled to get use on the unfamiliar pitch. The Fighters did not take long to take advantage over the unsettled visitors. Ahmad Syamin cleverly scored from a rebound after ten minutes into the game. ​ Spurred on by the early goal, Felda continued to surge forward for more goals. Edward Wilson showed why he is one of the most prolific goal scorers in Super League when he scored their second in the 30th minute. ​ MALAYSIA CUP: JDT 0 – ATM 0 At Stadium Tan Sri Dato Haji Hassan Yunus, Larkin, Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) missed the chance to capture three full points after only manage to settle for a 0 – 0 draw with ATM last night which both team had equal opportunities and pressed each other's in search for goals. ATM had some good attempts in the first half after S. Thinagaran and Bruno Martelotto played some good football but failed to find the goal due to poor finishing. In second half, B. Sathianathan replaced Muhammad Safwan Hasyim with Badrul Hisham Mohd Sufian to overcome JDT continuous attacks. SIME DARBY FALLS AT HOME TO PDRM

​ ​ MALAYSIA CUP: SIME DARBY 0 - PDRM 3 Premier League champions, Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) opened their Malaysia Cup campaign with a comfortable win over Sime Darby at Selayang Stadium. The 3-0 win shows that the Cops are not affected by the departure of former manager Dollah Salleh. ​ Sime Darby failed to match the 'never-say-die' PDRM players although playing on their own turf. Maldives hotshots, Ali Ashfaq opened the scoring in the 15th minute after receiving a pass from Fauzi Abd Majid . Sime Darby raised their game and launched a number of attacks. But the PDRM defenders were simply at their best. ​ MALAYSIA CUP: PAHANG 4 - JOHOR DTII 0 Defending champions Pahang opened their new Malaysia Cup campaign with an impressive 4-0 victory over JDTII . The home side did not take long to open the scoring as Dickson Nwakaeme found the net inside the first five minutes. JDTII were struggling to find the right tune at the Darulmakmur Stadium. Matias Conti doubled the lead with a fine goal in the 38th minutes. Both team headed for the break with Pahang leading with 2 goals. ​  Pahang were in complete control in the second half. Dickson grabbed his second goal of the night as he beat JDTII's goalkeeper again in the 71st minute. It was a hard time for the visitors. MISSION 33 IS ON THE RIGHT TRACK

​ MALAYSIA CUP: T-TEAM 1 - SELANGOR 2   Selangor traveled to Kuala Terengganu to kick-off their Mission 33 Malaysia Cup campaign. The Red Giants successfully earned their first win against T-Team after a hard fought match. Selangor tried to take control in this away fixture, but the home side was too hard to break.   The real excitement finally arrived in the second half. Patrich Wanggai finally found the net four minutes after restart to give T-Team the lead. ​ Selangor doubled their efforts and piled-up the pressure on the home side. Andik Vermansah grabbed the equalizer in the 51st minute after his strike beat T-Team's goalkeeper. In did not take long for Selangor to add another goal. Just two minutes later, Paulo Rangel found the net again to put Selangor into the driving seat. T-Team tried to fight back, but Mehmet Durakovic 's men held on until the end. PENANG HOLD GLADIATORS IN OPENING MATCH

​ ​ MALAYSIA CUP: ATM 1 - PULAU PINANG 1 ATM failed to capitalize their home advantage after being held by Pulau Pinang 1-1 at the Selayang Stadium last night. The Gladiators were unable to find the right rhythm against the Malaysia Cup underdogs. ​ Twenty minutes after the kick-off, ATM finally got a little bit of tune as they started to launch a number of attacks towards the visitors. Their efforts paid off when Hairuddin Omar beat Penang 's goalkeeper for the lead in the 26th minutes. Pulau Pinang did not give up. They managed to overcome further threats from ATM. Rafiuddin Roddin grabbed the equalizer one minute before the break after his strike beat Syed Adney . ​ ATM returned to the pitch aiming for a win. However, they were unable to display their real potential.
